Know it or not, those of us living here in “Baja Arizona” are incredibly fortunate; we have more than our share of diversity. The Sonoran desert sweeps up from Mexico, making its way into the southwestern United States.  This is a place where winding ridge-lines and rocky crags come cloaked in a thorny veneer.  Strong and mysterious, with the allure of danger about it, this harsh yet fragile landscape is often mimicked by our native microfauna. Like the desert, their hard edges can take on an elegant, sensuous form. There is a magical interplay between form, function, life and action all captured, for barely a moment on film.

I believe as Pliny said, Nature truly does excel in the least things.
